   Not Us, But You
They play the blame game well
You must admit:
They moved their
Responsibility over to you
Shifting attention away
From their misdeeds.
You, the source of their profit,
Squander too much.
It’s your fault, it is:
But don’t consume less
Just accept you’re to blame.

It was empowering you, it seemed.
But really they disposed their obligation
To help save our common world.
Putting the onus on you to act
It looked like they were entitling you
But no, their trick was to claim that
‘It’s your fault, not ours’.
